Carbon Calculator

Through a simple analysis of the carbon data published in Environmental Product Declarations, we can compare the carbon footprint of our plants with those of various realistic standard (petrochemical-based) paints. For such a comparison, the unit of measurement must be consistent. Some companies report their EPD data based on one coat, but we use two coats.

The difference between the figures is the carbon savings available per m2 of paint. This number, multiplied by the paintable m², is the saving available through the use of Graphenstone on the project.

The data is for two top coats only. Some heavily pigmented colours might need a third coat, but this is the same for all paint brands. The data should, therefore, be seen as indicative.
